Thanks for Listening! Send me your questions-maybe I'll do a special episode for you!

This week's episode is another FAQ round, because you all keep asking good questions and I keep collecting them.

First up: do you need a Meta Verified account to run ads? Nope.

That's a paid badge subscription, totally separate from actually being able to advertise. What can get required is business verification, which is a different thing Meta triggers on its own, no monthly fee attached.

Second: how many creatives do you actually need?

Forget the old "3 to 5 and you're done" rule, that's not really how it works anymore. For most of us running smaller budgets, 3 to 6 creatives is still the sweet spot. It's not about hitting a magic number, it's about making sure every ad has enough spend behind it to actually get out of the learning phase.

 What's new right now

There's a new manual override called Push Delivery to This Ad, so if you've ever added a fresh creative and it just sat there never spending, that's fixed.

Meta has a track record of rolling something out and pulling it a week later, or rolling it out clunky and fixing it down the line.

Keep an eye on these instead of treating them as set in stone.

[00:00:00] Hello, friends

Welcome to Facebook Ads Quick Tips. I'm Stacy Covitz, your host and Meta Ads strategist for online business owners, today is a frequently asked questions episode. Those seem to be the most popular episodes, so that tells me to keep them coming. Let's get started. Number one, do I need a meta-verified account to run ads?

That, my friends, is a question I hear, and the answer's no And the reason why I get asked this question a lot is because Meta being Meta is a little bit vague and confusing in -- the way they explain things on their website. And [00:01:00] there's things that pop up, "Get verified on Meta," do this. And so it, it could give someone who is not familiar with the platform or the process, when they see that, to start to question themselves, "Do I need to be verified on Meta to run ads?"

And the answer is no. In fact, I'm not verified by Meta. . They started that a while ago. Then they added tiers, and then it was a paid tier, and I know people that have tested that. And one of the reasons why some of the people that I know paid for it was because what came with it was free, or not free, but because you're paying for it.

But you had access to help, or they were testing to see, hey, if I'm a verified member, and I'm on this tier, am [00:02:00] I going to get my troubleshooting questions , you know, my client's page got shut down. Am I gonna get higher up in the queue when I need help? And I wanna say the answer was no. So I-- that, that's getting me think.

I should go, I should go back to those people and, and see is it worth it. Anyway, short answer, you do not. You do not need to be verified on Meta to advertise. Number two, how many creatives do I need? There's so much about this right now, and I get asked this all the time because with Andromeda, which is a buzzword that everyone's talking about, um-.. it, it started going around with volume, volume, volume, volume and variety, volume and variety. We need 65 creative for every campaign. Well, [00:03:00] I'm sorry. Nobody has time for that unless you have a team and you're spending thousands of dollars. If your budget is $50,000, $100,000 a day, great.

You have a team. They are pumping out creative for you left and right, and that's fantastic

The people that I'm talking to and I'm working with and helping aren't spending that kind of money. Most of them don't have a team. They might have a virtual assistant or something like that, but they don't have these giant teams that are pumping out all this creative. So I feel bad that people think this, but no, you need...

you just need to make sure that you have some in your queue to go ahead and push out more if they're showing all of them and they're doing really well. it, it depends on your budget. It depends on if you're e-commerce.

If you're e-commerce, that makes a lot more sense [00:04:00] because you have products and angles and different flat lays and 3D and whatever you're doing as far as your, your product, you're selling an item, a physical product that you have a lot of different creatives for, and you should. But if you are not e-commerce and you are selling services or you're advertising a lead magnet or having a, a webinar, you don't need that many creatives.

I would say four to six for $50 a day and under, and keep an eye on it. Refresh every week if you need to. Add another one or two. But for the most part, I'm going to say save yourself the time and the energy and

Have five, have a handful, and have some in the queue Okay Now, this next part is not a question, but I want to update what's something that's [00:05:00] new-ish that might be of interest

I believe this came out in March, so it's not that new, but it... as, as Meta ha- has a tendency to do, a lot of things get rolled out gradually, and so not everybody has access to the new things that start getting pushed out. And it's good, because I think it, it means it's kind of a beta test. A lot of things that start get- getting rolled out early that you hear about, you never get because it's already taken away.

So this one is called Push Delivery to this Ad. Some of you have may seen it. It's an, it's an override. . Normally, when you add a, a, a new ad to a, to an ad set that's already running

Meta won't push that out. They'll just keep going with the ones that already have a track record. So a new creative will sit there not spending, and even if it's great, just because it hasn't [00:06:00] earned any data yet. This new button ... It, it'll pop up and say, " push delivery to this ad."

And so you're just telling Meta, "Yeah, you know what? This is brand new. I think it's gonna be good. Push some budget to this ad for a few days." And you don't have to duplicate the ad set and start all over and learning and all of that

But at the same time, with Andromeda -- Meta is, is telling us that they know what works best, right? So this would be obviously a test. So if you wanna try this out, you have this fantastic new creative, and you feel like Meta's not spending anything, or you, or you think it's really great and you wanna test it, and you have this button, toggle it on and have a look for a couple days.

... If your campaign starts performing much better or you like the results, then keep it on. But again, have a look at it, and if it doesn't seem to be increasing opt-ins [00:07:00] or conversions, then, you know, maybe go back to trusting Andromeda and let Meta find what works best, and turn it off.

I'd love to hear if you have this, if you've tried this I like to hear from, from other people that are running ads just to see, get feedback.

So , that's, that's it. I'll probably have another, frequently asked question episode If you have any questions you'd like to me, to talk about on the podcast, send me your questions. You could send me a fan mail. No, is it called fan mail?

I don't know what it's called. Fan mail sounds so so too much for me. But send, connect with me, and let me know if you have a question. You can, you can find me in the school community and join that. And again, as always, I thank you so much for listening. Your support means the world [00:08:00] to me, and I will see you next time on Facebook Ads Quick Tips.
