Stacy Covitz (00:00)

Hey friends, welcome back to MetaAds Quick Tips. I'm Stacy Covitz, your MetaAds strategist and here to hopefully make Facebook and Instagram ads a little less overwhelming. Before we jump in, I just have to say, holy cow, thank you so much. Last week, I had 129 downloads.

I don't know why, and I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but I typically get between 15 and 20. So I'm not sure what happened. I'll be looking into that. But thank you to those of you that listened, shared, messaged me, it means the world. Let's get into today's topic because it piggybacks off of last week, what are funnels?

So I want to continue on this topic because if you're anything like me, when I first started in the online world, funnels really confused me. I don't know why, but I would hear the word funnel and I would just kind of glaze over. And I think it's common because now when I talk to people who potentially want to run ads and we'll talk about their funnel, a lot of times I do get blank stares.

So let's get into it. Let's talk about the different types of online funnels. I'll do this briefly because this is supposed to just be five minutes, a quick tips podcast. So a lot of people will say ads aren't working and then we'll get into it. And that's when the funnel question comes up. I'll say, you have an optimized funnel? And a lot of times they don't know what that is either.

We talked about last week, a funnel is basically just a path. It's a path bringing someone from never heard of you to I just bought from you. And even further, which I just bought from you and you're amazing and I love you and I'm going to buy everything from now on. That's the goal, right? So think about every funnel having a job. Step one.

help new people find you. Step two, help them get to know and trust you. Step three, help them to decide to buy from you. And you can't skip any of these steps because when you do, that's when things kind of fall apart. Oftentimes in the ads world, people will go right into trying to sell something.

to people that have never heard of you. And that is not usually very successful and very expensive. So let's talk about a few common funnel types and what they're good for. Freebie funnel, you give away something helpful, a checklist, a guide to get people on your email list and start having conversation with them on your email.

It's perfect for building awareness and growing your list. We have our low cost funnel or a low ticket, sometimes called a slow funnel. And that is a low cost product, $9, $17. They're great. I had talked about them a few episodes back, maybe episode 33. I don't know. can't remember. It covers ad spend.

that's the goal, while attracting buyers instead of just freebie seekers. There's a webinar funnel. Webinar funnels are great if you're a coach or a course creator. It gives people a feel for how you teach. You can give a lot of great value and have people walk away with quick wins and then introduce them into your higher ticket offers. There's a challenge funnel.

for building excitement and community, also a good way to learn from you. And then there's an application funnel. This is the type of funnel where you're asking people to either fill out an application or to get on a call with you. These are good for one-to-one coaching sessions or discovery call to see if they wanna work with you. So here's a tip. Before you decide to build a funnel or run an ad,

ask yourself, what do I want this to do? Do I need people to find me? Does anyone know me? Do I need people to trust me more? Or are they ready, hopefully ready, to make a sale? And once you know what the goal is, that's when you can have everything fall into place and know what type of funnel you need to build. Once you have that in place, if you are wondering if you're ready for ads,

I do have that free quiz that you can, it's linked in the show notes. Feel free to go ahead and take the quiz. It's six short questions. You can find out. And again, I appreciate you so much and thank you for listening and I will see you next week.
