If you are planning a fall launch or if you're hoping to plan a fall launch, here's what you need to know.
a lot of coaches and course creators that want to launch using ads
Last thing I want to do is freak anyone out. just want to make sure that that you're aware
there's a timeline
Your ads will need at least a 14 to 21 day runway before you are opening your cart or having your first sales messaging or webinar.
That's what you'll need to let the algorithm work its magic and do the learning so you can start optimizing and seeing the traction in your ads.
I know from experience, a lot of coaches and course creators that want to launch
don't know that. And I know that because I get the calls, people want to talk to me and then I find out the timeline and
I sadly have to say, I'm sorry, we can't do it. There's not enough time.
Now,
if you are planning on outsourcing or hiring a strategist or an ads manager, expect to have at least a 14 day turnaround time for...
the strategy call, the kickoff call, collecting assets,
and just all of the things behind the scenes that need to be set up and working before you start running the campaign and putting money towards it.
So the tech needs to be working, the funnel needs to be set up and created, all of that should be ready to go by that 21-day launch date of the campaign.
Let me break that down so it's not so confusing.
I want to launch my product or my course in October, October 15th, let's say. so let's reverse engineer this. That means
Stacy Covitz (02:41)
at the latest,
Stacy Covitz (02:42)
your ads should start running on October 1st.
Now, two weeks before that is when you should have your ad manager slash strategist picked out, hired, appointments set up, contracts signed, paid, all of that. So that person, he or she,
has at least 7 to 14 days to get behind the scenes, set up everything in your account, if funnels aren't all of the things that go into an ad campaign
At the time of this recording, that's now. So if you're needing a little nudge to get the ball rolling here,
Now is the time. you find, if you're lucky enough and you want to outsource and you find an ad strategist to say, okay, I can do this in one day or two days, be cautious. I was once that person. I wanted to... ⁓
do whatever it took to get my first client. And there were times that I would have done that and I would have said, yeah, I can do it. I can get it done. And then what happens is nobody ends up very happy because nothing has time to optimize.
so this is where i do see some course creators and coaches run into trouble they aren't planning soon enough in advance i'm very guilty of this myself
