Stacy Covitz (00:00)
Hey, welcome. Welcome to another episode of Facebook ads quick tips. I'm StaceyCovitz, a meta ad strategist. And today we're going to talk about the difference between doing it yourself, running ads by yourself, and then deciding to hire someone like me, like a service provider that does Facebook and Instagram ads. I get asked this question a lot.
I'm a DIY person. I like to do everything myself. I mean, I don't necessarily like to do everything myself, but I do almost everything myself. And I find that I get extremely frustrated a lot. get frustrated a lot with a lot of things, mostly because everything seems to take a lot longer than I expect. put, I'll put, for example, let's just say update this podcast and I'll
a lot 30 minutes. And then I get in there and I find out, you know, one of the connections isn't working or something like that. Then it brings me down this rabbit hole of, now I've got to go to over here to this software and this software. And before you know it, it's been two hours and I'm frustrated. Hopefully I won't always be doing everything myself. So I understand.
I definitely understand the appeal to doing things yourself. For me, a lot of times I like to do things. like to learn. Learning is something I love to do. So I like it for the challenge. But if you are in the business to make money, how much is your time worth? How much is your time worth? My time's worth a lot more than sometimes I spend doing silly things that I don't need to be doing myself. Doing it yourself. If you already know how to do it,
and you have done it, you have experience, might just need to maybe brush up on newer policies, newer strategies. The ads manager has changed. It changes every day. Holy cow. Let's say you decide, I don't want to do this anymore. Either you do it already yourself or you just don't even want to take the time or the energy or the bandwidth to
learn something else. So what do you get when you decide to hire someone? It depends on who you talk to. You could, a Facebook ad manager, you hire them and they go in, you give them, you know, here's my ads, here's my copy, here's my, you know, everything. You give them the template essentially of what you want done in your ads manager and your budget.
And they go in and they push the buttons and they get everything running. And that might be what you get. And that might be what, what you decide is fine. So that would be a Facebook ads manager. When I, when I get on a call with someone and they say, so, you know, what does your service entail? The first thing that I do when I am about to work with a new client is we have a, what I call a strategy call. So it's the first step.
After we have decided to work together, contract is signed and everything is good to go, we will have a strategy session. And in that strategy session, I will ask a lot of questions. I will ask a lot of questions about your business, your goals, your budget, your history of sales, who your audience is, your copy, how long, you know, all of this stuff.
And I will get a great understanding of what it is. And then we'll talk about what are you trying to do? What's your goal? What's your experience? All of that, right? Then I will go back and I will put together my best option for what I think will get you the best results with your budget and your goal. And come back and we will discuss it.
and then we'll have a kickoff call. And the kickoff call is when we get together and we talk over Zoom, we get into your account and I'm in there and I make sure that everything's set up and that I can get in there and I have access. I will do the copy, the creative, meaning I will design the ads, I will write the copy, all of that I can do. In addition to the strategy,
And coming up with the plan, I will implement it. So I will go in, will create all the campaigns and make sure everything is good to go and running and working. And then I'm in there. I'm in there all the time and I am checking and I am making sure that nothing is wonky and things are working the way they're supposed to. you know,
nothing's getting flagged, testing and looking at numbers. And in addition to that, I will make changes if things are tanking and not looking good or if something seems to just be missing the mark. My services also come with reporting and not only reporting, but an explanation. And some clients don't want that, but I always offer and I like to give it because I want the clients to understand.
you know, what we did together and what happened and the results we got. So what you get when you hire a strategist and a full service ad person like myself, it's not just, I'm not just throwing darts at the wall and hoping that they work. I have a system that I use and I've been doing it for a long time. My last client that I just wrapped up with, amazing.
I would just go in there every day and just, woo, this is all really great. I don't need to make any changes. But I am in there and I am optimizing and checking for any trends that don't seem to be going right. If something's going really well, maybe we'll add some more money to it. Here's probably the biggest thing that people get when they hire someone like me is, when they hire someone like me, they get partnerships.
I am a full partner with you. I make sure that we are after the same goal. When I have suggestions, I will give you the options and the final decision is up to you. And nothing gets done without you, the business owner, knowing that I'm doing it. You get partnership and I'm like a dog with a bone. I like to make sure like I am all about
Can we do this better? Can we get better results if we tweak this? I absolutely love looking at data. It's so nerdy. you know, clients, when they decide to hand something off as important as this, they get peace of mind. They get peace of mind knowing someone is in there, someone is on it. You get these funky messages from Facebook. Don't worry, I'm in it. I see it, I'm on it, and I love it. To wrap up.
What do you get? You get peace of mind. You get a partner. You get your time back. You get no frustration. And you probably get a lot of great results. A lot of great results, whether that's more views, more traffic, more audience, more follows, more sales, more leads, whatever your goal is. So if you're curious,
whether or not hiring an ads manager makes sense for you. I do offer 15 minute strategy calls, just a short, you know, what's your goals, find out if it would be a good idea or if it's even a good fit for you to hire somebody. Sometimes it doesn't make sense. And I'm the first one to say, you know what, for what you're wanting to do, you really don't need to hire someone.
knows. Send me a message. The link is in the show notes. And as always, thank you so much. Thank you so much for listening. And I will see you next time.
