Hey, hey, it's Stacy Covitz here with another bite-sized episode of Facebook Ads Quick Tips.

So if you have a hard time watching your ads without thinking, ⁓ my gosh, this isn't working. I need to do something. First of all, listen to episode 18. Episode 18 is all about that. So if you haven't heard that one, go back and listen to that one. In the meantime, I am going to share five things, five things you should check.

before making any changes. let's just hop to it. thank you so much for being here. It means the world to me. let's go ahead and jump right in. let's say you started your ad on a Monday and you checked it on Tuesday and you're not happy, but you know you should wait. So you check it on Wednesday and

and there's no clicks, there's no leads, there's no sales, there's nothing. What do you do? this is what we're gonna do. Number one, and again, episode 18, has your ad been running for at least three days, 72 hours? If not, don't do anything. That's my advice, don't do anything. Three to five days.

because it takes a long time and by long time, it's not really a long time, is it? Three days. But when you're spending money and you just keep seeing it add up, yeah, it seems like a long time, but try and resist doing anything unless it's been three days. Okay, so that's number one. number two, are you looking, are you looking at the right metrics?

What do I mean by that? So what I mean by that is if you are optimizing or running your ad for sales, then are you getting any sales? Okay. So that one's super easy to, to understand. Now, are you trying to get awareness or views?

Are you trying to just get people to just see your ad so they know who you are? Then don't look at sales. Don't look at clicks because those aren't the right metrics. I do have another episode about checking the right metrics. So make sure you're checking your right metrics. When you publish your ad, what is your particular KPI, key performance indicator? It's different.

depending on what your goal is and depending on what you're running ads for. Maybe you are running traffic to a blog or to a lead magnet, but you don't have a big enough budget to run a conversion ad yet. So make sure you're checking the right metric. That's number two.

Number three, is your budget big enough for your goal? And this comes into play when you are doing either a lead or a sales campaign. If you are trying to do a sales campaign and you, your budget is $5 a day, then it's not your ad. If you're not getting any sales, it's your budget.

So have a look and if you don't have a bigger budget than five dollars a day then you probably need to hold off and not be doing sales campaigns. Start with traffic or something like that or awareness engagement. if you're doing a sales campaign make sure your budget is big enough and I talked about that on the last episode and if you want you could reach out to me and I could help you with a calculator, ⁓ ads calculator.

to figure out how much you should be spending. So is your budget big enough for the goal? If you're just, again, if you're doing brand awareness or engagement or something like that, you can have a much smaller budget. You could have a $5 budget a day. So make sure you have enough budget for the goal. I did go over, there is a myth that because you're trying to sell a low ticket offer, so a $9 opt-in or something like that,

It's easy to imagine or to just assume or think if you're not, if you haven't done the research or if you don't know that it shouldn't cost that much, right? I mean, it's $9. Who's not going to want to buy that, but you'd be surprised how much an ad to actually get a sale for a $9 product would take. all right. Number four,

is it your ad or is it your offer? So is this working organically? Did you already test this out organically? So people were buying it like crazy and you just wanted to scale. So you decided to run ads. If that's the case, then we'll talk about other things to check your creative, your copy, things like that. But.

If you haven't had anyone opting in or buying this particular offer, then it might not be your ad. It might be your offer. So make sure you have that, that proven before you assume it's your ad. That's number four. Number five is, are you targeting warm or cold?

If you don't have a warm audience, and by that I mean followers on social media or an email list or something like that, you are targeting too cold audience. don't know you. They haven't really heard of you. It might cost a lot more and it might take a little bit longer. So don't throw in the towel too soon on that. You might want to take a few steps back and start.

building up a warmer audience because that will be a quicker result for you. Okay. So to recap, let's go over these again. Number one, has your ad been running three to five days?

are you looking at the right metrics? Are you looking at the right KPI for your particular ad? Number three, are you using enough budget ad spend to obtain the goal that you were trying to obtain? Number four, is your offer working organically? And if it's not,

then it might not be your ad. Have a look at your offer again. number five, if it's taking a long time and you're not seeing results, try and build up a warm audience and start over, but not until it's been three or five days.

I will put a checklist in the show notes and subscribe. follow. Thank you for being here. I'll see you next time.
