Have you been wanting to run ads or even you have run ads in the past and you have so many questions? If that sounds like you, this is a good episode. This is for you. This is a short. I'm gonna, I'm gonna.

I'm going to answer three to five questions. Let's get started.

Here is a huge, huge... Here's one of the most asked questions I hear. How much do I need to spend on Facebook ads? And of course, I'm going to answer this question with, it depends. It depends on a lot. But if you've never run ads before, I suggest go small.

Maybe start with you could start with three dollars a day, three to five dollars a day and just get Facebook used to you as a business, as an account. What kind of content start seasoning your pixel, seasoning your pixel just means introducing, basically introducing Facebook to who you are and who you're trying to attract. So you don't have to spend a lot now.

I have other episodes where we talk about if you have something that you're trying to sell, that's a different story. Yeah, we could talk budget more in depth about that. But for now, you don't need a lot. Okay, number two. Let me think. Another very popular question is, let's see.

Stacy Covitz (02:06.4)
Okay, here's another good question. Very common question. I have clients ask me this question and here is the answer before I even give you the question. You have to test. Okay, the question is what works better a video or an image? So the answer is it depends and you have to test.

And the reason I say this is because if you were to ask right now, 2025 a marketer, what's working better on social media or in paid advertising? I have a feeling you're going to get mostly video. That's probably going to be the answer that you get. Because it's the really pushing out videos, reels and stories and all of that. But here's the thing I have clients.

who I run a reel next to a static image and I end up turning off the reel because it's not performing, it's not converting. And the funny thing is when it finally does start to optimize side by side, I'm noticing it's costing more. It's bizarre. don't really understand, but.

The point is you have to test have the same image this or I'm sorry have the same copy headline in the ad set with a video and see what happens. You just have to test. Okay, I'm going to answer one more question.

If I have, here's another question, a very common question. If I've never run ads before, where should I start? What kind of Facebook ad should I run? My answer is not a conversion ad. So there's six objectives when you go into ads manager and they start with at the top for the lowest ask. By ask I mean like,

the lowest.

action that you're asking. You're not asking for anything. There's awareness, there's engagement, and then it goes all the way down the line to leads and sales. You don't want to start with sales. You don't want to start with leads. I would start with awareness or engagement because you'll get your name out there, your face out there,

your either your product. Don't ask for a sale. Don't go in there. You know, like, whoo, here I am by myself. Just start running an ad two to $5 a day that gets Facebook used to you. That's what I would start with. I would start with awareness or engagement. Okay, I'm going to do one more. Why? Here's a good one.

Why does my ad keep getting rejected? Why does my ad keep getting rejected? Mostly your ad will get rejected if you are not following Facebook's

Stacy Covitz (06:00.014)
policies and procedures. If you're not following Facebook's policies and procedures, you might get your ad rejected. You might get your ad account closed down.

But...

you can appeal and you could read, you know, figure out what it is that violated the policy. It's frustrating because they won't, they won't tell you. They won't say, well, this image looked like it had nudity. They won't tell you that. They'll just say, you follow. You didn't follow. You violated a policy.

and you will go in circles trying to get the answer. But what policy? I don't think I did. It doesn't matter. They will not tell you. You could start all over. Sometimes it's obvious. A lot of times it's not. A lot of times you can insist. I didn't do anything. I didn't break any of the policies. But sometimes they're just being weird.

But for the most part, it's mostly because you somehow violated a policy. It could also be a bot, whatever. They'll tell you it's a policy violation. So have a look and see. OK. That is it. I am.
