You know what is driving me absolutely bananas lately in Ads Manager? I've got background noise and not ideal recording conditions today at this moment, but I figured while I'm sitting here in real time creating ads and I'm at the peak of my frustration, I might as well get this to you right away. This episode is specific is about specific options inside of Ads Manager while you're creating campaigns.

0:00:50 - And I think it's an important topic for all people that are brand new to ads as well as skills skilled ad managers. Because I feel like Meta goes and changes options all the time. And I'm not the only one who's constantly frustrated by this. You just get the hang of things and you get in a groove and then boom. But that's okay. I'm just going to go over this and hopefully you're going to get some, some good tips out of this.

0:01:19 - The first change is adding so much time to my workflow and that is the elimination of the quick duplicate feature. And this could be either at the ad, at the campaign level, the ad set, or the ad level. And I have one particular account that I work in and we do anywhere from 15 to 50 ads, new ads a day, and what used to take me between one and two hours, that time is doubled and it's just driving me crazy.

0:01:56 - It's not, it's not more complicated, but it does require me to go through each and every setting with a fine tooth comb. And it involves a lot of new clicks and steps. And I'm sure, I'm sure there's a great reason why this change has happened. And I, I seriously, I cannot wait to find out what this reason is. Because maybe it's brilliant, but at the same time, maybe it's just going to be like in some places when you live in certain places when they say, oh, if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes, maybe it'll be like that. Maybe I'm at a boiling point today and tomorrow I'll go to my account and maybe it'll be back, or maybe there'll be a new change. Who knows?

0:02:39 -All right, moving on. The next one is every time I add a new creative, a new video or ad creative, an image or something like that, it automatically is defaulting to sites they're adding and what I mean by sites. And if, if, if you want a visual of this, I actually created a screen recording while I was doing this. And I will put this in the show notes because I think it's worth having a look. The. This particular account that this change has happened in is.

0:03:16 -  Is an account that doesn't use sites in their ads. And by sites, it's websites, they, they meta is. Is defaulting to adding 12 site links every time I add a new creative. And so what I have to do, or at least all I found out how to do, because, you know, these changes happen and it's not like you get a tutorial each time. So what I've learned to figure out is I have to click out one by one out of every X that's there, and again, check out the screen recording.

0:03:52 -  So 12 clicks and then it's gone and I save it. But it kind of piggybacks on the quick duplicate because when I then go and duplicate, I get 12 links again and I have to start all over again. So, okay, to be fair, maybe there's an easier way to turn this off. And if you know, and you've discovered this and you know what that easier way is, I would love to know what it is. Please reach out. You could send me, you can send me a message in the show notes.

0:04:25 - Okay. The third and last one for this episode is maybe just the most annoying and confusing, especially for people that are brand new to ads, because I feel like they're trying to pull a fast one. And I'm sure it's not. Well, I shouldn't say that it's not dubious, but maybe, you know, they're trying, maybe they're trying to steer everyone away from this option of having control over our, our own creative. And what I mean by that is they've got this default now, which is the creative AI enhancements.

0:05:03 -  A lot of people love this. A lot of people love just the simplicity of adding a new image and clicking save and start campaign. A lot of people love that. Myself, I like, I like testing. I like having control over each element that I add or take away so I can look at the data and know what's working, which saves money and in the long run gets better results. So I like having control. Maybe Meta doesn't want us to have control anymore.

0:05:36 -  So here's what's going on. When I add a new creative, and again, I have a video of this as well. When I add a new creative, I have to Go down to the portion where it says AI enhancements, AI Creative enhancements. And the ones that are toggled on, I go ahead and I turn them off. That's fine and dandy. Sometimes there's only two and I click save. The part that I find a little bit dubious is I. When I. Then when I go to review, it actually still has some creative enhancements.

0:06:13 -  I thought I checked them all off. It said 0 out of 2 or 0 out of 4 not being used. But no, wait, there's more. And it's kind of hidden. It's not even obvious. I go to. Then I have to go down and say, okay, show me more, show me how, because I can't figure out where these are or where to turn them off. And so when I hit show me more or show me how or tell me more, whatever it is you'll see in the video because I have it in the show notes, then I, I can go and there's a little button that's kind of hidden on the bottom that I click. And then, oh, there it is.

0:06:51 - I can turn off some more. And now they're all turned off. Okay, here we go. Let me recap. These are the three changes that are driving me nuts. Number one, my quick duplicate is being eliminated in some accounts. Number two, sites, websites automatically being added with each new creative that I have to manually click off each one. Number three, and the most annoying is the AI enhancements that seem to be intentionally trying to trick us.

0:07:22 - I would love to continue this conversation with you.
